• Building on their work in Algebra 1 with linear and quadratic functions, students in expand their repertoire by working with rational and exponential expressions; polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions; trigonometric functions with real number domain; and systems of equations. Students will work closely with the expressions that define the functions and continue to expand and hone their abilities to model situations and solve equations. Fluency in graphing functions, interpreting key features of the graphs, understanding values of functions, and extrapolating data from a graph are major goals in this course.
