    Our Chapter is

    "Los Halcones Dorados"

    (The Golden Hawks)

    The purpose of the Society is to spread awareness of the Spanish language and culture to our school, our community, and globally.  We do this through service projects throughout the year which include:

    Service to School, Service to the Community, and Ambassadorship.

    Our Chapter has an elected Executive Board which organizes and oversea the events for the year.

    The 2019-2020 Executive Board

    President:  

    Serves as presiding officer at all meetings, events and activities.  Works closely with the executive board and advisor to create agendas and to ensure the success of the organization.

    Vice-President:  

    Represents the president in their absence,  works closely with the executive board and advisor, responsible for broadcasting announcements for meetings and events, and works closely with the Treasurer and Secretary to ensure accuracy of attendance and club funds. 

    Secretary: 

    Organizes and keeps track of attendance records, sign-in sheets for activities, computes service hours and keeps members updated.

    Treasurer: 

    Controls collection of money, deposits, check requisitions, and receipts. Leads organization in fundraising projects.

    Parliamentarian: 

    Records the minutes at the Officer meetings, calls meetings to order and helps to organize them, maintains organization webpage.

    Historians:  Update the organization's bulletin board, take pictures throughout the year at meetings, projects, events, etc., keep digital photo scrapbook for the year, elp with the organization of events.

     

    Executive board meetings are generally held the first Thursday of the month

    and General membership meetings are generally held the first Friday of the month.
