World Civilizations is a full year, chronological/thematic study of the development of Western and non-Western civilizations since 1500. The course examines the major themes, movements, events as well as individuals who have shaped the modern global society and values from the twentieth century. Students examine the evolution of both Western and non-Western cultures, which have shaped contemporary international issues and institutions.
