Honors Algebra II w/ Trig
This course has the same curriculum as the Advanced Algebra 2 with Trigonometry course; however, the depth of understanding, the rigor of instruction, and the level of expectation is increased significantly. Building on their work in Algebra I with linear and quadratic functions, students expand their repertoire by working with rational and exponential expressions; polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions; trigonometric functions with real number domain; and systems of equations. Students will work closely with the expressions that define the functions and continue to expand and hone their abilities to model situations and solve equations. Fluency in graphing functions, interpreting key features of the graphs, understanding values of functions, and extrapolating data from a graph are major goals in this course. Students in this course will take the NJSLA test.
