    A little about me:

Since 2002, I have been a dedicated member of the faculty at River dell.  Starting out as the district's Transition Coordinator working with special education students on their transition to life after high school.  My role involved career counseling, college planning, self-advocacy skill development and providing support to students and families throughout the process.  During that time, I worked closely with the Child Study Team and provided support to students on their caseload. Now, as a case manager and member of the Child Study Team myself, I work directly with students and families throughout the special education process and communicate with teachers, related service providers, families, outside providers and students each day.  In addition to my case manager responsibilities, I also provide group and individual counseling to students.  Social skills groups are also held weekly and facilitated by myself and my colleagues.

My education includes a Bachelors Degree from Stonehill College in Massachusetts, a Masters in Social Work degree from Columbia University, and a Graduate Certificate in Transition Special Education from George Washington University.  I am currently working on my Masters in Educational Leadership at Montclair State University.  Prior to working at River Dell, my career included case management, program development and counseling positions in NY city and Long Island.

My family is an important part of who I am as well.  I have a husband and three children, ages 15, 13, and 10.  We love spending time at the beach, skiing, and traveling when we can.  My children are all athletes so much of our time is spent on the soccer and football fields, wrestling mats, and lacrosse fields.
